Adobe Rosa Tote
The Adobe Rosa Tote showcases a striking Zapotec pattern in warm adobe, rust, and cream tones, inspired by sun-warmed earth and the rich colors of the Oaxaca valley. A central diamond motif is framed by bold geometric forms, echoing traditional designs that have been woven in the region for generations. Each piece is handwoven on a traditional pedal loom—a meticulous process that can take several days to complete—giving every bag its own subtle variations and character.
Finished with sturdy leather straps and thoughtful details, this spacious tote is designed for everyday ease. Whether you’re heading to the market, the office, or a weekend outing, it carries what you need while adding a touch of artisan craftsmanship to your day. Timeless, practical, and beautifully made, it’s a piece you’ll reach for again and again.
- Bag: 17" × 15" × 4"
- Strap drop: 11"
- Interior: Open pocket
Each piece is handwoven using traditional techniques, and slight variations in color are a natural part of the process. Differences in dye lots, fiber absorption, and the artisan’s individual touch can result in subtle shifts in tone from one bag to the next. These variations are not imperfections, but a reflection of the handmade nature of each piece—making every bag uniquely its own.
Our artisan partners utilize aniline and natural dyes, including indigo.
As a natural part of the carbon cycle, wool is one of earth’s most sustainable materials. Energy from plants is converted to wool through the sheep, and the sheep’s manure helps more plants grow. This is a natural and renewable process that is gentle on the animals, and the environment.
In addition to the light footprint of wool’s creation, it is a quality and long-lasting fiber, which means that wool lasts longer and requires less laundering than other textiles. Wool is also one of the most recycled fibers, and eventually, at the end of its life, it is one of the most biodegradable.

Many of the traditional designs found on our Mexico Collection are taken from pre-Hispanic Zapotec ruins such as Mitla and Monte Alban. Each of these symbols has a deep cultural meaning to the people who weave them. We are honored to share these beautiful designs with the world.
