Copal Fringe Crossbody
The Copal Fringe Crossbody pairs bold Zapotec design with effortless movement. Woven in soft wool, its striking lightning motif unfolds in warm shades of copal, rust, and deep wine against a creamy neutral ground. The palette echoes sunlit earth and desert warmth, while long leather fringe adds texture and motion with every step.
With its adjustable crossbody strap and compact silhouette, the Copal is designed for easy, everyday wear. Inside, two open pockets keep essentials neatly organized while you’re on the move. Its versatile style moves seamlessly from relaxed boho looks to rodeo-chic outfits—perfect with breezy linen dresses or your favorite denim.

Each piece is handwoven using traditional techniques, and slight variations in color are a natural part of the process. Differences in dye lots, fiber absorption, and the artisan’s individual touch can result in subtle shifts in tone from one bag to the next. These variations are not imperfections, but a reflection of the handmade nature of each piece—making every bag uniquely its own.
Our artisan partners utilize aniline and natural dyes, including indigo.
As a natural part of the carbon cycle, wool is one of earth’s most sustainable materials. Energy from plants is converted to wool through the sheep, and the sheep’s manure helps more plants grow. This is a natural and renewable process that is gentle on the animals, and the environment.
In addition to the light footprint of wool’s creation, it is a quality and long-lasting fiber, which means that wool lasts longer and requires less laundering than other textiles. Wool is also one of the most recycled fibers, and eventually, at the end of its life, it is one of the most biodegradable.

Many of the traditional designs found on our Mexico Collection are taken from pre-Hispanic Zapotec ruins such as Mitla and Monte Alban. Each of these symbols has a deep cultural meaning to the people who weave them. We are honored to share these beautiful designs with the world.
