Florita Tote
The Florita Tote features a vibrant Zapotec pattern woven in warm rust, cream, and soft sage green—colors inspired by spring in the Oaxaca valley, when fresh growth appears alongside sun-baked earth tones. A central diamond motif is framed by bold geometric shapes, echoing traditional designs that have been passed down through generations of Zapotec weavers. Each bag is handwoven on a traditional pedal loom, a meticulous process that can take several days to complete and results in subtle variations that make every piece unique.
Finished with sturdy leather straps and thoughtful details, this spacious tote is designed for everyday ease. Whether you’re headed to the market, the studio, or a weekend outing, it carries your essentials with effortless style. Artful yet practical, it’s a bag made to move with you—and to be loved for years to come.

As a natural part of the carbon cycle, wool is one of earth’s most sustainable materials. Energy from plants is converted to wool through the sheep, and the sheep’s manure helps more plants grow. This is a natural and renewable process that is gentle on the animals, and the environment.
In addition to the light footprint of wool’s creation, it is a quality and long-lasting fiber, which means that wool lasts longer and requires less laundering than other textiles. Wool is also one of the most recycled fibers, and eventually, at the end of its life, it is one of the most biodegradable.
Caring for our premium wool, handcrafted items is easy! For every day cleaning we suggest a cashmere brush. These are readily available online and in most craft and yarn stores. For more intensive cleaning we recommend eco-friendly dry cleaning as the items are 100% wool.
Visit GreenPages.org to find a green dry cleaner in your area.
You should NOT put your bag through the washer and dryer at home. 100% wool items will felt if agitated in a washing machine and dried.

Many of the traditional designs found on our Mexico Collection are taken from pre-Hispanic Zapotec ruins such as Mitla and Monte Alban. Each of these symbols has a deep cultural meaning to the people who weave them. We are honored to share these beautiful designs with the world.
